CHA only accepts online applications. Persons interested in applying for housing assistance must use the "apply online" button above.
You will be required to bring social security cards and birth certificates for all household members and current picture identification for all members of the household who are 18 years of age and older.
Eligibility for housing programs is generally based on income and the size of the family.
Applicants will receive a letter notifying you of your eligibility status and will ask you to contact us. It is very important that the information provided on the pre-application be kept current at all times as this is the only way we have to contact you.
The amount of wait time varies depending on the number of applicants on the waiting list and the availability of housing. Generally, approved Public Housing applicants are housed in an average of six (6) months.
CHA does not have "emergency" housing assistance. If you require emergency assistance you need to contact Bradley Cleveland Community Services Agency at 423-449-4111.
